CAHERHURLEY NURSERY’S RECENT CHANGES

We have EXCITING NEWS

1. CAHERHURLEY IS NOW OPEN EVERY DAY from Monday the 25th of May 2026 until late August 2026.

   For many gardeners, the weather in spring 2026 has made it impossible to plant. Purchasing plants had to be postponed in many cases. To help gardeners out, Caherhurley will be open every day from 10.00am to 5.00pm until the end of summer. My (Gert's) planned serious surgery didn't happen because it's too dangerous. So I'll be a be available for to continue growing. There will be a limit to what I can do; it will be mainly light work in our propagation area. During opening hours there's always someone of our Caherhurley team here to help you. For those of you who need extended advice during your visit, please contact Hayley to see if is she's here on the day you want to visit. You can contact her on her email address listed below. She'll be happy to advise you.

2. HAYLEY WILL CONTINUE CAHERHURLEY NURSERY at the end of summer 2026. She will re-open Caherhurley Nursery in early 2027 at her own place.

   Because I (Gert) am limited by my health issues, in what I still can do, Hayley will take over Caherhurley Nursery. In Hayley, we found a worthy crown princess. She's more than capable to continue the Caherhurley legacy. Hayley, with her enthusiasm, her work ethos and her outgoing personality, is better able than we are (Gert and Elisabeth) to develop Caherhurley further into a greater and more attractive nursery, ready for the future. The Caherhurley legacy will be safe and in good hands with Hayley. I (Gert) will take care of propagation in the future. So Ireland's horticultural scene isn't getting rid of me yet. 😉.

After summer 2026, Hayley will work further on creating a wonderful nursery in her own place. The new nursery, also in Co. Clare, will open early spring 2027. Work there is already in full swing. It's a wonderful location for the new nursery. GROWING PLANTS

We hope you'll bear with us and appreciate that there's a limit to what we (Gert and Elisabeth Stam) can do. The only service we can offer is making plants available for sale to visitors.

Unfortunately, we can't prepare orders, we can't send plants and we can't run an office. In order to make Caherhurley plants available for visitors, we'll have to focus exclusively on growing them.

So we ask for your understanding. But, as usual, there'll always be time for a chat with visitors at our nursery, We'll always be thrilled and delighted to be able to contribute to the happiness of all our loyal - and new - visiting customers.
