A great woodland anemone, which will spread to form a carpet of leaves and flowers. It has white cup-shaped flowers with yellow stamen, often nodding in the wind from April to June, followed by fluffy seedheads, adding to the ornamental value of this plant. The stems above the divided foliage grow to 30cm tall.
This anemone likes a well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
