An upright perennial with silver-green thistle-like leaves which are hairy, but not prickly. Growing to 120cm tall, the intense blue globes of flowers, which are 4cm across, are held on branched stems from July to September. The flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators and are great as fresh or dried cutflowers.
