A clump-forming evergreen perennial with heart-shaped leaves, flushed purple when young. The dainty pink-violet flowers with a white tinge are held on 25cm tall stems above the leaves from April to May.
This plant likes a moist, well-drained soil in partial shade, but is drought tolerant once established.
