A rosette of glossy, heartshaped leave form the base to sturdy grey-blue flowerstems up to 80cm. The cone-shaped thistle-like flowerheads are silver-blue in colour with deep blue flowers from June-August. They are surrounded by intricate soft, but spiky-looking bracts. Very attractive to bees and butterflies.
This plant likes a well-drained soil in full sun.
