Bloody crane’s bill is a native Irish perennial, mainly being found in the Burren and is also known as Crobh dearg. It is a spreading plant to 35cm tall with large purple-red flowers from May to September. The leaves are rounded and deeply divided, making it a good groundcover under shrubs or a great plant for a bank or larger rockery.
