A mat-forming perennial with small glossy leaves. The spikes densely packed pink flowers reach to 30cm in August to October. The leaves turn rusty-brown in autumn and leave brown stems throughout the winter draping over paving, stems or edges of borders.
This plant likes a moist soil in sun.
