Small lily-like golden flowers grow on wiry, leafless stems to 40cm tall from July to September. The sword-like leaves grow in fans, below the flowers, which are followed by pear-shaped seedpods which split open to reveal shiny blackberry-like seed clusters.
This plant likes a well-drained soil in full sun
