A plant grown mainly for its decorative fruit. Growing up to 20cm, it has white flowers from June to July which are followed by decorative fruit which is covered in an orange papery covering, which persists throught the winter. A spreading plant, which is best planted where is has plenty of space to spread freely. The dried fruit coverings make a great dried cutflower.
Chinese Lanterns like a moist, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
